MOTHERS ARE THE
SWEETEST
Our mother is the
sweetest and
Most delicate of all.
She knows more of paradise
Than angels can recall.
She's not only beautiful
But passionately young,
Playful as a kid, yet wise
As one who has lived long.
Her love is like the
rush of life,
A bubbling, laughing spring
That runs through all like liquid light
And makes the mountains sing.
And makes the meadows
turn to flower
And trees to choicest fruit.
She is at once the field and bower
In which our hearts take root.
She is at once the sea
and shore,
Our freedom and our past.
With her we launch our daring ships
Yet keep the things that last.
~Nick Gordon~

A Mother's Love
A mother's love determines how We love ourselves and others. There
is no sky we'll ever see Not lit by that first love. Stripped
of love, the universe Would drive us mad with pain; But we are
born into a world That greets our cries with joy. How much I
owe you for the kiss That told me who I was! The greatest gift--a
love of life-- Lay laughing in your eyes. Because of you my
world still has The soft grace of your smile; And every wind of
fortune bears The scent of your caress.

Mother's Love Her love is like an island
In life's ocean, vast and wide
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain, the tide.
'Tis bound on the north by Hope,
By Patience on the West,
By tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest.
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;
And thro' the changing scenes of life
I find a haven there.

Mothers, Angles of God
They are
angels of God in disguise;
His sunlight still gleams in their tresses;
His glory still gleams in their eyes.

The Prophet Your children
are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you,
and yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in
the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, not tarries with yesterday.
Kahlil
Gibran

What is a Mother?
A Mother has so many things to do,
From washing, ironing, cleaning to tying a shoe.
She scrubs, she mends, she cooks and sews,
She bathes the children and washes their clothes.
When they forget to wash their faces clean,
And their clothes are the muddiest you've ever seen,
Who repairs the clothes and scrubs them like new?
Of course, that is what a Mother will do.Who becomes the doctor or the nurse when they are ill, Applying a bandage or giving them a pill? Who becomes a teacher when a child has homework? She must never her duty shirk. Who becomes a detective to find a toy or a book? For missing things she must look and look? Who becomes a listener to every heartache, To every accomplishment that a child makes? Who scolds their children when they are naughty, Or remind them of God when they are to haughty? Who tends her family with love and patience, too? Of course that is what a Mother will do to her infant to become the best child. A lucky preschool has mothers like that.
